Fredericton’s Capital Complex and Shivering Songs have partnered to present an intimate performance by Amelia Curran, Thursday May 5, 2016 at 8 PM.
Newfoundland singer songwriter Amelia Curran purchased her first guitar when she was 16 and never looked back. After a brief stint in University Curran dropped out to pursue music full time and busk on the streets of St. John’s. A move that has proved more than successful earning her a 2010 Juno win for her 2010 release Hunter Hunter solidifying her reputation as a master songstress. Her list of accolades does not end there with four ECMA nominations, 4 Music NL awards, 3 Music NS awards, and a place on the 2010 Polaris Long List.
Curran’s most recent release They Promised You Mercy was nominated for a 2015 Juno Award for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year.
